Kovalam is a small coastal town in the southern Indian state of Kerala, south of Thiruvananthapuram. At the southern end of Lighthouse Beach is a striped lighthouse with a viewing platform. In the lake, Pathiramanal Island is a haven for rare migratory birds. Ancient Thazhathangady Mosque is east of Kumarakom.

Athirapally Falls is situated in the border of Kuttampuzha Panchayat in Aluva Taluk, of Ernakulam District and Athirapilly Panchayat in Chalakudy Taluk of Thrissur District in Kerala, India on the Chalakudy River, which originates from the upper reaches of the Western Ghats at the entrance to the Sholayar ranges.

The Banasura Sagar Dam, located in Wayanad, Kerala, is India's largest earthen dam and a popular tourist destination known for its scenic beauty and boating activities.
